WAGGA WAGGA PICNIC RACES – Proudly supporting Country Hope

You’re invited to a great day of friends, fashion, entertainment and racing. The 2026 event features:

Fashions on the Field
Live acoustic music in the afternoon
Activities for the kids
and so much more!

There is no doubt it will be the highlight of your social calendar!

We can’t wait to see you all for what will be a great day out for the whole family.

Tickets: The 2026 Picnic Races will be a family-friendly event. The Picnic Races will be sectioned into 3 different areas: General Admission and Individual Marquee and Picnic on the Rails.

Gates will open at 12pm

General Admission

Tickets are:

  • Adult = $25
  • Children 13-17 = $15
  • Children under 13 = Free

General Admission is a perfect way to get all your friends and family together for a great day out. You will have access to everywhere except the On The Rails Area (unless you have purchased a table in either of these areas).

There will be a band and kids entertainment throughout the day to keep everyone entertained.

Picnic on the Rails

Secure a track-side table for you and your guests to enjoy the Picnic Races! Tables will be allocated in a sectioned-off area on the rails.

Tickets:

  • Tickets to be sold in tables of 8 (trestle table) = $120
  • You receive a table per booking and a chair per person, tables will have name placing on it which you will have to find on the day.
  • Entry tickets will need to be purchased on top on these prices.

Food can be brought into this area like the our normal picnic race day but cash will be needed to purchase drinks. Only those with purchased tables will be allowed into this area to ensure maximum enjoyment for your table!

Individual Marquee Area

Bring your whole work team, clients or large group of friends to our Individual Marquee Area and live the high life! A great way to spend Wagga Picnic Race Day!

  • Tickets are $450/per group. Entry tickets will need to be purchased on top.
  • The area will be 3m x 6m including 2 trestle tables, tablecloths and 10 chairs. This area can fit up to 20-30 people.
  • If your group is larger than 30, you will need to purchase two marquees.
  • Catering is BYO (or order from on-site caterers!) and there will be a dedicated cash bar for the Marquee Area. Drink tickets can be pre-purchased for this bar if required.

Wagga Picnic Races – CHARITY CLUB

Each year, Country Hope puts on a week of fun and activities for the children.

Since the inaugural holiday week held at Borambola Sport and Recreation Camp in 2003, the camps have provided a wide range of activities for the children from southern New South Wales and northern Victoria who have been diagnosed with cancer or life threatening illnesses, along with their carers and medical staff.

Wherever possible Country Hope also includes the brothers and sisters of children on treatment or those who have lost a brother or sister to cancer related illness.

Each child has a Country Hope carer who is responsible for the child and ensures they have a great time through the week. All of the Carers have attended the Country Hope Carer Training Course which is held annually, and are expected to maintain contact with their child throughout the year and become very special friends.

By joining the Charity Club you will directly assist in funding the children and their carers to the camp as well as provide each child with a personal gift pack as part of your donation.

Two Lawn Area tickets to the Wagga Picnic Races

Inclusion on the Honour Roll that will be printed in the Daily Advertiser and Race Book.

A Tax invoice for the full amount

FAQ

Beverages

No beverages are to be brought on premises. Only beverages purchased on course are permitted to be consumed on course.

Minors

Persons under the age of 18 years (minors) are only permitted on the MTC premises if the minor is accompanied by a responsible adult who is;

  • Exercising parental type supervision
  • Responsibly always supervising the minor

As a guardian, the person accompanying the minor should be;

  • Directly related, 17 & under needs to be with a 21yrs + and show proof of relationship with either the same last name or address.
  • Not directly related – Guardian must be 25yrs. + (1 guardian per minor where not directly related)
  • Minors will not be served alcohol
  • Individuals procuring drinks for minors will be removed from the premises.
